Max Armstrong, farm broadcaster on WGN radio in Chicago is a great booster for the Antique Tractor hobby, come celebrate the 50th birthday of his favorite tractor.

Orion's Tractor

Orion Samuelson's F-20 will be on display at the Farm Progress Show.  See the Club News section for stories and pictures of the rediscovery and rejuvenation of the old family tractor as a tribute to one of the most widely respected farm broadcasters in America.
Smithsonian Tractors
Don't miss this chance to see three historically significant farm tractors from the collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, Behring Center.

Hart-Parr #3 -- The oldest known farm tractor, and it's in running condition!  Built in 1903, this may be the oldest running gasoline engine farm tractor in world!

International Harvester HT-340 Turbine Tractor  -- Although it never saw production, the turbine power and hydrostatic drive made this tractor a technological wonder in 1961. Eighty Horsepower from a 90 pound powerplant and hydraulic drive motors in each rear wheel eliminated gear trains and made this tractor unique.  High fuel consumption and improvements in diesel engine technology proved to be it's downfall.

Allis Chalmers Fuel Cell Tractor -- An Electric Tractor!  Fuel cells operating on hydrogen gas generated clean electrical power to drive the tractor.  It was a great concept, but ahead of it's time.  Still, it boasted impressive performance and may be a forerunner of things to come.
